Stars We Lost In 2016

The recent death of actor Anton Yelchin has called us into consciousness that 2016 many of our beloved actors have died.

Soon his final film Star Trek Beyond starts in the German cinemas, but unforgotten will also be his work Hearts in Atlantis and the miniseries Taken by Steven Spielberg.

He was only 27 years old and is now a member of the infamous 27 Club.

Also Doris Roberts left us this year after six decades of television. Many will remember her as Raymond Barone’s mother, Marie Barone, on the long-running CBS sitcom, Everybody Loves Raymond (1996–2005). She received five Emmy Awards and a Screen Actors Guild award during her acting career.

Oscar winner and former child star Patty Duke passed away on March 29, 2016. She became known as a teen, winning an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at age 16 for her role as Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker (1962).

Another name on our list is Abe Vigoda, who is known for his portrayals of Salvatore Tessio in The Godfather and Phil Fish in Barney Miller from 1975 to 1977. He died of natural causes at age 94.

Unfortunately we could go on with this list for quite a while, but we end it for today with a classically trained stage star and notorious screen villain in the Harry Potter saga – Alan Rickman. He died on January 14, 2016 after a battle with cancer. He was 69.
